Objectives

  • Manage folder structure and upload documents to the database

Steps

Documents related to the Contracts will be uploaded in the Documents tab. These documents can be Agreements, Contracts, NDAs, etc...
Documents can be arranged in folders. Privacy can also be applied to a folder and the privileged user can control with whom to share the file.

Files and Folders can be Categorized by Type, Status, and optional Comments. 

Documents can be added in 2 ways. Either by the drag-and-drop procedure or by uploading the files via the Actions button -> upload file 

After the File/Folder is added, they can be managed using the action wheel on the grid.

File/Folders can be

    • Renamed
    • Deleted
    • Shared With: The folder can be set as Private which means only specific users can access it. Folders that are locked are designated with a lock sign. Users who are set to Override Privacy can see all Private objects on App4Legal.
    • Show in Client Portal: where you can share your folder/file with client portal users.

Through the actions button, a document can also be generated according to a predefined template. You can also download the document editor, which is software that you can install it on your machine to easily edit your documents. It allows users to directly open and modifies different files (Word, Excel, PDF, PowerPoint, etc..) from App4Legal, press on the arrow icon next to a document and the Editor will open the respective document on your machine in the appropriate program. Then, make the modification you want and save your document. The Editor will automatically upload a newer version of the document into App4Legal. You can from the actions wheel, see the list of versions this document has, the user who added each version, and the date and time. and you can click on an older version to download it.

Once your Contract is ready, press on the To Be Signed option next to the document and set it "Yes", so that your document will be ready for signature.
