  • How to Categorize Contacts, Filter, and Extract Data




Objectives:

  • Categorize your contacts(Companies, Persons, Clients).
  • Filter your search using different criteria.
  • Export your data to an Excel sheet.


Steps:

The Contacts module provides a powerful and intuitive way to manage and organize your contacts (Companies, Persons, or, Clients).

You can easily categorize, search, and filter your contacts using a variety of criteria, making it easy to find the exact information you need.

  • To do so, simply open the needed grid, either the list of companies, persons, or clients from the Contacts module in the main menu:

  • Click on the 2 arrows on the left to open the Search Filters menu:

  • Choose the criteria you want to search for, such as the category, status, nationality, and so on.
  • Press on Run  to apply the filter search
  • You can Save the Filter for later use, simply name it, and select the user visibility.


Filters can then be accessed from the drop-down list at the top of the page:


Additionally, you can manage those filters at any time, from the action wheel on the top right of the grid, click manage filters

Here, you have the option to adjust your filters accordingly - such as the ability to edit, delete, and alter their Names. In addition, one can decide how these filters are shared with other users or kept private for the original creator.


Additionally, you can easily extract data from your contacts in an Excel sheet. 

This makes it easy to use your contact data in reports, presentations, and other documents.
